Capri-Gold Collar

Over the years my to-do-list was and still is growing and this netted collar is an old tutorial from Varvara a great russian beader. Keeping it classy I used capri-gold facetted glas-beads and dyed-rose with copper rocailles. It goes smooth around the neck and for its around 300 beads the weight is nice and gives the collar a good solid feeling. The appearance is classy & elegant so its perfect for an evening dress.

For the next time I will have a break as we are preparing for our annual vacancy.

Have a great time ahead, see ya soon!

Great fun....

at two sides, me and the new owner of my handmade collar and bracelet.
I'm really happy that I was able to fullfill her expectations and she enjoyed her new accessoires.

That's the best reward we can get for our work!

Something old....

A dear friend of mine asked me to weave her a short collar in turquoise and little bit bronze. She searched my albums and stopped at a netted collar I had woven in the early 2000. No embellishment was required, it should appear simple and plain. Hope I get it this way she asked for.

Have a nice and sunny rest-weekend!

Anahata Version

Another pendant from Beaded Treasures. I've taken an inside- and outside photo to show the colors and sparkling on its best.
It's a nice solid pendant about 4 cm in diameter and for the many facetted beads it has its weight.

For the next days I have to stop working with this nice book as I got a custom order for an necklace.
Photos will follow.

Wish you all a nice and sunny week!

Maroc Memories- Pendant

With "Beaded Treasures" Anja Schlotmann has created a nice Book with many interesting objects. Do you know that? New projects and you'll never have the right beads?
Normally I start a new project by picking up my beads and color palette but this time I decided to start with beads I have and then pick up the colors step by step whilest working.
I'm sorry that the camera didn't get the different color hues so exactly, this is the best result I could get.

Now it's time to order new beads.... I'll never have enough ;-))

Have a nice and sunny weekend ahead!

Eliza

Edwardian lace collar made after a tutorial from Nancy Peterson. Several years ago I've started my first step at beadweaving with netting technique and am so happy to have found this nice new tutorial. With its shimmering gold beads, tanzanite and champaign the collar has an lucious appearance. I've made a little change as I don't like so much the picot edges so with the round edge it has a more solid character.

How can we start...

the week better with a sunny blue sky and a new colorful necklace?

Apple-green, olivine, pink-purple and amethyst for the awaking nature, where all trees and flowers starts blooming. I love this beaded bead as I have so many possibilities with color combinations so I'm able to make one for each dress I find at my cabinet ;-))

As I'm still a fan of vintage I use oxidised brass for the chain and tassel.

Wishing you all a sunny week with loads of fun!

Little Pralinés....

came to my mind if I look at the single elements of this bracelet. It was somewhat difficult to frame the small cat-eyes, but at least I'm happy with the result.

Wish you all a nice and sunny weekend!

Cellini Spirale

My dear clayfriend Eliska sent me Rocailles from Jablonex in different colors. These Rocailles are slightly bigge then those I use regularly. I searched my stock and found several beads for a beautiful mix and stitch this nice spiral. It was fun to work and I like the result.

I still have some other beautiful colors in my stock and am sure this won't be the last spiral. At this point, thank you once again Eliska!

Birthday-Gift

Time is running as I'm very busy with some new organisations at home what takes most of my time. Beside Birthdays from family and friends are coming and so I have to be prepared. This bracelet from Zuzzl I liked much and I take again the experience with RAW what is not my favorite technique. I have enough drops to go and as the receiver is an absolute autumn-type the colors are matching perfect to her.
For the base I used Toho 134F, for the embellishment Toho 15/221 and drops MK 134, Toho 162c, 329. Now I hope it fits well and she like it.

Solitaire

Even it is weekend you'll find one or two minutes for beading. I've played around with rivolis and a ring was the result. Looks little bit like a sundown.

My friend liked the ring so much that I stitched another one in her favorite color. Sometimes pink might look kitschy, but with her blond hair she is perfect to wear the color.

Wish you all a great week ahead!

To the weekend...

I can present my "Fatima". Often seen at other beaders I want one for myself. RAW isn't my personal favorite stitch but with the encouragement of an nice bead-buddy I give it a try. I'm very proud for the result and am sure it's not the last one.

Here you get the tutorial for this fantastic bead.

Have a nice and sunny weekend!

Experiment

It's time to use my own handmade beads for beadwork and so I started the experiment, framing lentils in a different way. It took much of my patience, lots of counting, zipping it off and starting once more. Though its finish now and am really happy with the result. Soft fresh colors for the upcoming spring/summer. The matching earrings complete the look.

Silence

The beautiful botswana agate cabochon was sent by my friend Patricia. It's one of my favorite stones and I've stored the cabochon for a long time as I don't know how to capture this beauty right. With embroidery the nice milky translucency will get lost and so I decide to bezel it. It's the first time I've done it and am pleased with the result. Thanks once again Patricia! Hope I've done justice to this wonderful stone.

Okno

Again a beautiful pendant in vintage style made after a design from Mu. Soft greens and bronzetones gave this filigree piece an antique touch. For the additional embellishment I've used a pretty facetted citirin teardrop.
