Hohohooo....

it's St. Niklas Day and this one is for my friend Erika. It's in the colors she love and am sure she'll love it.

Wish you all happy surprises on this special day!

More from the Xmas workshop

This pendant from trytobead is pretty nice to bead and I think nice as little Xmas gifts for some Ladies.
Red and blue are not so much my colors but that's not important for gifts. I'm sure there will follow a few more which are then more in "my" colors.
Wish you all a wonderful christmassy week!

Christmas is coming

A few weeks ago I've beaded a necklace for an very good friend in Singapore and my hometown friend fell in love with this necklace too. So for Christmas I thought it is a good idea to make another one with a few changes. She like pink and the fuchsia facetted beads have exactly that pink she love. After I have finished this necklace one day she told me that she only have colored necklaces and she miss a black one. Ok, what are good friends for, haha. I found a nice tutorial at Pencio and pick up black pearls and tada a black collar is ready. Today we got rain, rain and more rain and the complete day it is dark outside like on evening so it was hard to get good shots from my work. These photos are the best I could get to give you an imagination from what I'm speaking.

Journey

I named this freestyle embroidered cuff journey as the beads takes many directions. It's what I feel after taking many directions.... ways I come to the place where I want to be.
A big thank you to all my friends who maked me settled and welcomed.

Red Sun

The days are getting shorter, mostly cold and often rainy. How can I cheer me up better as with this beautiful carnelian necklace. So sparkling carnelian beads, a wonderful warm red to orange. These beauties don't need much work as they shine by itself.

Thank you Patricia for the beautiful beads!

Something more....

I had so much fun last night running through my beadboxes and arranging beads by form and color. For short my table looks chaotic but this is the result after the chaos.
Sometimes there's no need for an spectacular design, a small neckpiece in an matching color for your dress is beautiful too.
Again a few of my claybeads find a nice frame and I'm happy for my busy hands.

Memories

Last night I got bored and what better to do is then running through bead-boxes, haha. I found these nice black green-speckled nuggets and shortly some nice matching clay beads I've done so far.
So the evening turned nice and hands busy and at least I have a nice set what will adorn a fall or winter suit.

Doing the happy dance.....

I'm a big lover of old furnitures and several years ago I got this lovely buffet from my mother-in-law. Look the collage with before and after photos. The buffet is nearly 100 years old as we could see on a sticker at its backside.
These furnitures have a soul and I'm sure they could tell us many stories.

Anyway after our move I still have a free wall and this weekend my hubby found the sister buffet from my white one. It has the same sticker on the backside and we could see, it's the same company who fabricated both buffets. I'm totally excited that the old owner do not need it for longer and I could get it for an nice price. Yeaah!
Next spring I can start to sand the surface and then it will get white color too. Just had to share my happiness.

The first bangles takes some attention at my friends and family and so I thought I'll weave some more to surprise them.
One for the Honey-Bee, one for the African-Queen and one for the Silver-Lady. No names so it stays for the surprise, hehe.

Blues for September

I couldn't resist and must try the tutorial from Peetje too. It's nice to work and one can play with color, something I love much.

I love these bracelets as they are very comfortably around my wrist, so you can wear them all day and not only for a special occasion.

Have a great week!

Surprise

After a very loooong Odyssey I received loads of goodies from my friend Patricia. She sent it out after I returned from my vacancy as birthday gift. Normally I will receive from overseas in between 3 weeks but not as such long time. Anyway I'm happy it's not got lost on the way and very, very thankful that I have so wonderful friends who think about me for my birthday.
Thank you Pat for so much beautiful beads and findings to keep my creativity going. I love it all!

Original Version Jewels

Today I got nice daylight to take a shot of the finished original version of trytobeads Jewels. It's hard for my camera to get all colors right. If you want the original imagination of colors pls. go to the website from trytobead. You can believe that the mix of matte and shiny is great in nature. Very elegant.
I enjoyed stitching this nice pendant very much and have more color combinations in progress.
On the second photo you can see the difference between the origin and my cut-down version. I like them both.

Have a nice week!

Jewels

This is the smaller version from trytobead. Can't wait till I get the regular sized beads for this beautiful pendant and so I used what I have in my boxes.
The original sized pendant is ready too, waits to get photographed ;-))
Looks great on a short chain or cord and is definately an eye-catcher.

Maritim Teatime

Some weeks ago I had a talk to a friend of mine and she asked me if I have an idea on how to assamble beads and brickstitch. I'm not sure if she meant it like I did it with this short necklace, but this is what I understand.
I used czech seeds in pearl-white and midnight blue glaspearls. It looks very maritime and I can imagine to sit on a nice motor-boat and having a nice cup of tea, haha.

Oh, how nice...

the MIL of my daughter said after she saw my spiraling necklace. She liked the technique and the blue color. As I won't give mine away I sat down and made another one, with a few changes at beads. Matt grey, black-bluemetallic and for the facetted beads I use saphier-blue.
She don't know that she will get it next week and I'm looking forward what she's saying about this surprise. Hope she like this variation too.

Have a great weekend !

I'm back

from a nice and relaxing holiday. Even the weather wasn't so good, we've had more rain then sun, we enjoyed the time.

As a result here's another Eliza collier in different blues and bronze. Instead of picots for the edges I used drops for the embellishment.

Have a great weekend.... hopefully with a little bit more sun :-))
