Advent, Advent......

It's time to think about Christmas gifts and this tree ornament is the beginning.
For the embellishment I used light topaz bicone crystals, pearlimitates and Miyuki seed beads. Tutorial from the B & B magazine December 2010.

I wish you all a wonderful 1. Advent!

Wave-Collier

After I saw this beautiful collier at the titel at the Bead&Button magazine it became a "must have".
I changed the colors from blue and white to opalite peach and matte gold, pearls are maroon and build a nice contrast to the pastells. The collier is close to the neck and very elegant.

Dog-Sitting

May I introduce, this is Marcy now 5 month old. She was adopted 4 weeks ago by our neighbours. After two weeks staying at the new home her mommy passed away. She was ill for a long time but like her housband no one has had an idea that her days where counted.
After the shock our neighbour felt much more sad as he has to start his job again and didn't know what about Marcy. The time of his abscence for work is too much to long for the little puppy to stay home alone.
So we give Marcy a home for several hours a day that she can stay with her new daddy. She do a great job keeping him strong and fill the home with love and warmth not to feel so much the lonelyness.
Marcy is such a sweet baby and learning quick. Kruemel shows her what's right or wrong and she always keep an eye on her "big brother" what he say ;-))

Pink-Blink

I saw this nice bracelet in one B&B magazine (Maria Guletta) and thought I should give it a try. It was easy to stitch and ready in one afternoon. Perfect match to the beautiful pink stone bead in the center. I like the result.

Going green

A beautiful bracelet from the book "Bijoux tissé" by Marie Geraud. With the combination from light greens and dark brass it looks real elegant and not kitschy. Delicate and lightweight around the wrist and eyecatching though.

Starlet

My repertory isn't so big, but I could attach something new. From trytobead the Starlet-Bracelet. I like the look in copper and pumpkin very much. It fits smooth around the wrist and is comfortably to wear.

Back home

After a wonderful week at Bredene beach / Belgium were back home. The photo with my most beloved little model gives an impression how beautiful it was. For the season the weather was nice, we could go out each day and enjoyed walking at the beach. For our little furbaby it was the first time away from home. He enjoyed the water, sand and the endlessly running around. Kruemel mets many other dogs who forced him to play and so he was always really tired at the end of days.

The Granada pendant I've finished today. It is a gift for my very good friend who made it possible that we have a nice house near by the beach. I use her favorite colors and so I hope she will love it.

Bye, bye then.....

Fall Fragments

With all the rain we have to accept fall is standing infront of the door. So many trees start changing theire leaf color and a few others starts loosing the leafs. Each season has its own beauty and with a little more sun nature appears in a burst of colors. Till the rain is over and the greyish view outside I put my hands on fall colored fragments like on this set. Tutorial could be ordered here.
Have a great weekend!

Here is my latest work for September made after this pretty nice book. Instead of a Swaro* drop I used a real facetted garnet drop. Depending on light the drop shimmers in a deep burgundy red.

The bracelet fits smooth around the wrist and looks like an old lace band. For the pendant I need different silk or cotton cord which I didn't found yet.

Have a nice day!

Touareg

Another set I've finished after the book from Marie Geraud. I love her choice of color and the design. It looks so delicate nevertheless the pieces have a strong feeling. For the moment this book is on top of my list of things I love to do.

Have a nice day!

Pimp my Jeans

At the moment I like the blue shades and in combination with brass it looks precious but not to much glamorous for a day. It is hard to get a good light at rainy days. Once the color is right but less sparkle and at the next photo I got the sparkle right but not natural colors. So for the details I took 3 photos.

Birthday-Party

It was the 3. birthday of our little darling Krümel. And what is best as to celebrate it with his best buddy Luna in the garden. We parents and mom of Luna enjoyed so much watching our furbabies acting. Weather was fine and so they had much fun.

More surprises

Through the internet I made friendship with nice Lady few years ago. Even we didn't met us in person I've learned to know her a bit more and better now. What I've figured out is that she is a wonderful person and her first priority is that all her surrounding beloved ones feel comfortably best. So she is a wonderful wife to her husband, a great mother to her children, a good daughter to the seniors and not to forget a great caring pet-mummy. I know the last weeks... months... she was so much busy that she rarely found time for herself. But beside all the duties she found time to enjoy me over the long distance with a surprisingly b-day gift. Each single packet is a thought of her how to made me happy and that made me feel so special.
So we can complete the list above... she is a wonderful friend too! Thank you once again for all the beautiful beads and stuff! I'm blessed with friends like you Patricia!

Surprise

Yesterday I received a surprise from my dear friend Belinda from Singapore. I knowed it is for my birthday so I wasn't allowed to open it immediately. Hard job to stay patient till today :-))

Today my birthday I could open my surprise and honestly, it hits me from my chair. But look yourself, aren't these earrings beautiful?
I can tell you so much, better you take a look at her website (click the button at the side-bar from Bellebeadz) for all the Beauties Belinda made. You'll better understand from what I'm speaking holding one of her pieces in your own hands.

Belinda knows that I love Chalcedone and these drops are fantastic and the color is so unusually that I truly got something very, very special. I've tried to catch the wonderful color at my photos and do the great work of Belinda justice. I've tried different backgrounds, different lights from the early morning.... that's the best I could do and I have to recognize photographing will stay a secret for me.

A big THANK YOU Belinda for the wonderful surprise!

Trianglemania

About the nice work at my triangle-pendant I was motivated to bead more triangles. The tutorial for this nice bracelet was to be seen at Beadwork-Magazine Feb./March. Perfect for me to play with colors.

Triangle

Triangle Pendant in peyote stitch with Miyuki DBs. It is my first experience with geometric forms and I loved it. Now I can understand why so many beader work on geometric forms.
For the first time I take the help from Diana Averdiek's book "Edle Schmuckstücke".

Black Classic

Lately I received a package from an very good friend which contains alot of nice stuff to use for my jewelrymaking. I'm so happy she inserted this wonderful linked chain I used here with the Speed-Beads. The Beads are made after a Tutorial from Martina Schweighart and I beaded them with facetted glas-beads in black-dorado and black combined with silver rocailles. Classy and fashionable at the same time.

Birthday-Balls

At the internet I found this nice tutorial for Speed-Beads from Martina Schweighart and I can say... I love it!
I made these 3 short necklaces as birthday gifts. Each one with a special color combination to achieve the personality of the Lady who will receive her Speed-Bead.
The two green-pink ones are for the Twins of my friend. The two sisters are twins, but completely different and so I made one bead in soft colors for the blond haired Lady and the more bold colored bead for the red haired sister. Even the beads match well together, the difference shows also the difference between the sisters. Hope they will love it.
The turquoise ball is for a nordic blond haired Lady and are her favorite colors. So I hope I'm right here too.

"Petite Four"

Each element of this delicate neckpiece looks a littel bit like a "Petite Four" to my eyes. Yummy! Made after "Das Perlenkochbuch" using Pearlimitates, DB-beads and Toho seeds.

Malika

The base of this bracelet cuff is made with 11/0 Toho hex. in peyote stitch adorned with tiny 15/0 Miyuki seeds and Swarovski bicones in different greens and indian red. Wearing it it gives one the imagination of a silk ribbon around the wrist. If sun catches the arm there is a fire-work on shiny dark brass, gold and crystals and it looks like as it was made for a Queen. Therefore and for its arabian look I named it Malika which is synonym for Queen. Inspired by "trytobe".
